Discover

A generation ago, many families had relatives who lived on or owned farms. Now, for many, those connections to the land have been lost. Ruapehu offers unique opportunities to reconnect with the forests, hills, mountains, and rivers. The artists who live in this central region often draw on the raw elemental power of these natural features as sources of inspiration for a multitude of artworks, both 2D, 3D, and photographic.
